happy easter

Hi again...thought I'd post more stuff...but well what can I say - I don't get out much:)

Anywho had a great end to holy week with easter sunday...tell you though I'll never complain about doing too many band engagements with edmonton again..ever...

We've had something every night for holy week and today (sunday) we did the morning meeting, a morning march after the meeting into a community, afternoon open air service, evening service plus youth fellowship...all today...crazyness...but really good cuz there were 3 or 4 young guys at the open air - the kind you wouldn't want to meet in the back alley all by yourself (unless you were my sister who would probably be the only person I know who could take them out without a sweat)...anywho, they were there during the open air (mostly cuz we did it in their community and they had no choise but to listen)...

well one of our ladies in the singing company chatted them up and they acctually came to the evening meeting...how cool is that..

anywho thats my WOW witnessing actually works story..

here are more pictures - for those of you who dont do well with words:)

This is chesterfield...may not look very interesting but...if you look closer in the background you can see the croocket spire (dont know how to spell that) ...anywho apparently when it was built...years and years and years ago they used new undried (seasoned??) wood which when it dried, twisted around itself into this beautiful thing:)

I'm happy to report that my plant has survived the winter...yey...I rescued George from oxfam (a charity shop) and watered him all winter...although he has now produced a white lily ...I may have to rename him ...Tooooo pretty to be a George...maybe a Georga!!!

And here is bella - she was a present from Karens mom...thats my window sill by the way... the view from my room...when my mind wanders....

Anywho..thats it for now....bye bye

easter holiday

right so i finally got a card reader so you fine folks will be the first to reap the benefit...if there is any:)

the result of my easter holiday travel...

here we have curbar ridge...its soooo beautiful

This is chatsworth house...and no I didn't pretend I was in pride and predudice:)

SHEEP...fields and fields of sheep...they were so cute....

now...this is durham...well at least the castle portion of durham...we couldn't go in because apparently part of the castle is now student accomodation for students from durham university...imagine living in a castle during university...how cool is that:)

Inside the cloisters at Durham cathedral...I'm not exaggerating when I say this...'its one of the most peaceful places I have ever, ever, ever been to...

Durham Castle from the top of Durham cathedral...all blimin' 325 steps ...don't know how those monks did it...

Right ...whoever said england doesn't have any pretty beaches (ie. me) is completely wrong...this is in south shields...

Anywho...those are just some of the pretty places...I'm sick of the computer now...talk to you all later...bye bye

hi...again

Hello everyone...

you'll never believe this...well actually you might...I have a month off for easter...crazyness.

went to the peak district over the weekend...the typical english country - rolling hills - little sheep etc:) I took pictures but don't have a card reader so can't download...

I keep visiting people and in my 'travel' I've compiled a list of what I want when I grow up:) (in my head mind you ...but its still a list:)

- a brick (dark red brick) house as close to curbar ridge as possible (its a very very beautiful place to hike and at times climb rocks and such)
- a library (with mahogany wood)
- a conservatory ( so I can read the books from my library without getting rained on)
- wicker furniture in my conservatory
- a garden with pretty pretty flowers and a cherry blossom
- a gardener to keep the garden:)
- a guest room (decorated with flowers from my garden)
- a fireplace

thats as far as I got...

ps: its finally spring over here...as in there moments of intense sunshine (in between moments of cloudiness instead of weeks and weeks of dark gray)

Anywho talk to you later...
